Walter E. Hoffman Courthouse

The Walter E. Hoffman United States Courthouse, located in Norfolk, Virginia, was constructed in 1932 as the U.S. Post Office and Courthouse, exemplifying the monumental Art Deco architectural style of that era. During the first two decades of the twentieth century, the city of Norfolk experienced an explosion of prosperity, resulting in the need for a new, larger courthouse and post office. The courthouse was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984, recognizing its architectural significance and historical importance.

Envirowash partnered with a Historical renovation contractor to completely revitalize the exterior of the courthouse. Removing years of encrustation and mold from the buildings elevations using a plethora of methods to clean properly while protecting the historic windows and window mullions.
